Subfamily Ecliminae

Members of this genus are all slim and have a slightly humped thorax. The middle and hind legs are fairly close together, the antennae and abdomen are long, and the anterior crossveins are short. Adults typically bob up and down above flowers in between bouts of nectaring. Like many other members of the family, they may be encountered at the water’s edge. As the dates suggest, they are monsoon fliers.
