Genus Systeochus
Systeochus oreas
No Photos Available
A widespread species to the north of our region, quite similar to the species in Anastoechus but the facial pile is minimal so the shape of the face is evident. The eyes of the ♂s do not touch, so separating the sexes can be difficult. The wings are predominantly hyaline, but the veins are orange.
Range: COCH, PIMA
Occurs: Late August to Late September
An additional species that may occur - S. vulgaris
