Genus Paracosmus

Paracosmus morrisoni

From the Baboquivari Mtns to Willow Springs Ranch and Stockton Pass and southward, this is a regularly seen spring flier. It is a bit un-flylike, quite cryptic, and often perches on dusty roads, from which it is easily spooked. The ringed abdomen and bright red-orange legs are diagnostic.
